Hash Trash Run 709 - Directions Run 710

Run 709 - FFS's Anagram Quest
It wasn't hot. We had a Quest entitled The Hashenteering World Championships. We divided up in pairs and ran with maps of Herzliya Pituach*, looking for letters to spell out a message. Most of us never found all of the letters. We had Down-downs. The anagram message was "Farewell Friends" because Fer Fox Sake is leaving. We drank beer. It got dark. We went home.
* That's where the run was, by the way.

Directions to Run 710
Place: Old Jaffa
Date: December 1, 2007
Time: 3:00pm
Hare: Outrigger
 
Approach Old Jaffa (Yafo) to the roundabout (traffic circle) in front of the Clock Tower.  About three quarters of the way around the circle bear to your right onto Mazouk & Azar, a one-way street.  Follow it straight through the traffic light crossing Sderot Yerushalayim.  The street becomes Derech Shalma. You'll see an AM/PM sign on the left and a McDonald's yellow arches sign on the right. Go straight about 150 meters to the next light, which is usually only blinking off and on, and turn left.  No street name here (that I could see..).  There's a funky yellow building on the right corner of Shalma at the light.  When you turn left there's a Tata Motors sign on the righthand corner wall and a stenciled "ELNINO" on the wall below.  Follow this short road to the end (less than 100 meters) and cross Poyira St. continuing straight and onto a dirt lane (look for a dumpster on the right when you enter) which will take you into a dirt parking lot and bear to the right and up.  You should also be able to see the steeple of the Immanuel Church straight ahead.  Entrance will be marked with an "HHH".  Look for other Hashers.

Directions from Tel Aviv:
Take the Coastal Road (Route 2) to Herzliya/Kfar Shmaryahu exit.  Exit left onto Keren HaYesod St. Go straight through the roundabout, then take a left at the second roundabout  Go through the roundabout at Sharon Sq. (where we met last week) and on to next roundabout. This is Tiran Sq. Make a right and park. Your Hare will be waiting for you.

"It has come to my attention that many of you will be participating, dare I say it, racing in Ramat Ha Sharon this weekend. Therefore, I have graciously decided to set a small Hash in good ol' Herzliya this coming Saturday. Sharon Square is the meeting place.


Directions from Tel Aviv:

Our Hare has sent out the following emergency message:
 
"My hebrew computer printed all the directions backwards. Please post the correct directions:
 
"Take route 4 North past Kfar Sava, past the prison on your LEFT, past the Bnai Dror Junction (which goes left to Poleg) till the next set of lights,  turn LEFT, go past the Paz station on your RIGHT to the traffic circle and park on the RIGHT of the circle."
 
And always remember: on-on spelled backwards is no-no!
