The Vegetable Run
The Hare reports: "A glorious sunny day for Hashing, or going to the beach, or doing a thousand other things....... but we Hash! Obviously vegetables are in short supply at the moment judging by the few that showed up with any!
"But then a bus load of 'vegetables' turned up - aka The Jerusalem Hash !! (and Pregnant Pause!) I've been Hashing 205 times with the Holyland Hash and we've never been Hash-Crashed before!
"Yours truly, Lager Lout, for those who don't know, is not a runner - to say the least. Unfortunately I, along with another walker, Pussy Cat -aged 12 - were the Hares. Now when you get the biggest crowd of Hashers we've seen in ages descending in Herzliya Pituach with only walkers for Hares - it could be a slight cause for concern! However, it turned out to be a proper run - a runners run - an absolutely-not-for-wimps run. 7.2km according to Captain Cavemans super-duper watch thing!
"In and around the industrial zone, making sure the trail was safety conscious and road crossings were done on the zebras (which most of the pack ignored) and to the half-way on the grassy banks of Maskit St. car park for a rendition of One Potato -Two Potato. To cries of "Where are the holds!" it was back on the road for the second gruelling half. This took the pack round the other part of the industrial zone and down the hill to the place where half of Israel go on a Saturday - The Marina.
"The lack of holds was still the topic of conversation when the pack returned. Now maybe it was ants that ate the blob in the middle but kindly left the circle or maybe running only 200 yards before stopping is the kind of running even I could do! Whichever, I thought I'd done good - considering. With so many marathon runners in the pack surely it shouldn't have been a problem! I've decided Hashers will always find something to moan about.

"There was probably more, and I apologise to those I've missed, but Dead Boring's handwriting is illegible and he didn't write much down so it's mostly from memory - which isn't great!
"Woodcock, the JH3 RA took over for a few Down Downs for the Jerusalem Hash and more beer was consumed whilst we chit-chatted. All in all a fab time was had by all."
* Boston Creamed adds: I take it this is for her predilection for adopting horny hounds... the four-legged kind, you filthy minded things!

At the Yad Mordekhay jnct. (# 42) turn left until Gilat jnct. right (# 241) direction Ofaqim and carry straight on until a sign which tell left to Ze'elim

Dr. Do-little, who has labored long and hard to get this thing together, asks that participants get their spa (massage, holistic pulsing etc.) reservations in fast as possible. He writes:
"Rough schedule for this BIG weekend:
Friday, Dec. 1:
-- Check-in to your room as early as 2.00 p.m.
-- 658th H-HHH "Run" at 6.30 p.m. Hares: Our Hash brat's, Pussy Cat, R2 D2, C3PO and Nathalia
-- Following Run, a BBQ at around 8.00 p.m.
-- For the BBQ the H-HHH will provide the meat, houmous, pitot etc.
-- H-HHH will provide all the booze !!
-- You should bring salads and side dishes to share.
Saturday, Dec. 2:
-- Breakfast in the kibbutz dinnig room from 8.30 - 10.00 a.m.
-- Free time until 659th H-HHH Run at 3.00 p.m. Hares Dead Boring and Dr. Do-Little
-- Dinner at 7.00 p.m. in Bedouin tent "Madphuna" - traditional Bedouin meal.

-- Flash lights (electric torches to you Brits)
-- Salads and side dishes for the BBQ.
"Regarding the treatments we have two kinds:
1) Swiss massage- this is the most common treatment: the cost is NIS 170 for an hour and NIS nis for half an hour.
2) Holistic-pulsing- this is a very gentle and relaxing treatment, you can find more information on the following web site: www.holistic-pulsing.com
