This week's Hash Trash will be short, due to a shocking lack of field reports. The following terse missive was submitted to Humble Scribe by a participant in Saturday's run:

“The run was in Herziliya Center. After speaking to some Ein Gedi runners on the phone, we circled up and the runners and the walkers were off. Because I was walking, I can only tell you about the walk. It was lovely. We met for the halfway point at a little out of the way park where we sang “How much is that doggie in the window?” in honor of our hare Doggie Style.” Down-downs are listed below.

Goldmember, In and Out, Loose Caboose, Taco Balls, Turn-Ho, Twin Peaks, R2D2, C3PO and Boston Creamed were not at the run as they were down at the Dead Sea participating in the Ein Gedi Half Marathon. It was lovely, too. Here's proof:

Place: Goldmember's house, 7 Kinnarot St., Kochav Yair
Date: Feb. 24, 2007
Time: 3:00pm

IMPORTANT: There will be an On-on after the run. Due to the tyranny of family members, Goldmember can no longer cook on the Jewish Sabbath, but will provide soup and roasted potatoes (all prepared prior to Shabbat). Hashers are invited to bring Kosher meat, salads and dessert items. Oh, and beer, too.

Directions:
Take Route 5 to Route 6 heading NORTH.
Get off the the Kochav Yair exit.
Follow the signs to Kochav Yair/Zur Yigal (I think they lead to Route 444)
Turn LEFT into Kochav Yair/Zur Yigal, past the gas station on your left and the entrance gate.
Go through the first roundabout/traffic circle*
Go through the second roundabout/traffic circle.
Take your first LEFT into Kinnarot St.** and look for parking.

* In Boston we call them “rotaries”.
** A cobblestone Hollandish road.

Yes, it's true. Sadly, the Eilat Three Borders Half Marathon will not take place this year. While at the Ein Gedi run, Goldmember got ahold of the organizer, who mumbled something about lack of interest or lack of sponsorhip, or both. Bummer. We are now seeking an adequate replacement for this run.
