"Winter in Tel Aviv - Storm accompanied by hale and temperatures lower than in central Europe – no challenge for real hashers, but a good reason to stay at home or go skiing in Jerusalem. For safety reasons, the hash wedding was cancelled upfront to the event. The luck of the young couple shouldn´t be risked by sudden flash hitting the brides bouquet.
Nevertheless swans made it to Tel Aviv, even the Israeli security did not expect any harm, so he entered without hassle in record time. The weather was like in January, when he left Israel – seems to be the typical weather in this area. On the way to the city he enjoyed the rice fields next to the highway…
It was a delicate job to set the run, expecting to be drained twice in no time (setting the run and doing the same thing again). By considering that there might be no hashers, the preparations were restricted to a map study and the decision to set the trail live, if one is needed at all.
Fortune favors the brave … when we arrived at the run site, there were several hashers, keen to follow the magic trail PLUS it was nearly sunny.
Swans took off to spread some flour in Tel Aviv – the pack followed after a while and ´nearly got lost´ only once, as it was told. At the half way point at Habima, we had a quick improvised beer stop before we headed on towards Porter & Sons, where the walkers arrived well before the runners – running sucks."
