Run 710 - The Jaffa Jive

Sources inform Hash Scribe that, "Saturday's Hash in South Tel Aviv/Jaffa was a very nice though a very exclusive affair, with a beer stop at the dilapidated Yaffo port amongst the antique dealers' tables (Fisherman's restaurant wouldn't do drinks only). Nice trail through the winding streets of Old Jaffa. Not too long but lots of steps." Our Hasher in the field ends with a terse, "Hope there's more folks out this weekend." And we do, as always, live in hope.

Run #711 will be at an old favourite haunt - Bentleys Bar in Rishpon
From Route #2 north, exit at the Rishpon junction. Go straight, over the junction (pass the flower shop on your right) and go over 2 roundabouts & the railway tracks. Take the next road to your right (it's not really a made road - more of a track), go round the left bend and Bentleys Bar is on the left in a big gravel carpark. Your Hares will be awaiting.

Directions: Dizengoff Center isn't far from Dizengoff Square, where we started the Red Dress Run. The best thing is to drive on Route 2 towards Tel Aviv and get off at the HaShalom (Azrieli Center exit). Take a RIGHT onto Kaplan St. into Tel Aviv crossing Menachem Begin, and crossing Ibn Gabirol. At this point, Kaplan becomes Dizengoff. You will go straight up a slight hill (passing the Mann Auditorium on your left and Chen Blvd on your right) and then start heading downhill. The Dizengoff Center is the ugly mall on both sides of the intersection of King George St. Drive straight into the underground parking lot. The pub we're going to is on the corner of Dizengoff and Bar Giyora, the next cross-street after King George. It's right near the Kley Zemer music shop (many guitars in the window).
